Zalgiris Kaunas has signed point guard Tai Webster to a deal for the remainder of the season to replace Emmanuel Mudiay, per their official announcement.
Webster returns to Europe after spending last season with New Zealand Breakers, where he averaged 17.2 points, 5.0 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals per contest.
The 26-year-old guard has spent two seasons in 7DAYS EuroCup with Galatasaray prior to that and he has also played for Fraport Skyliners of the German BBL.
Mudiay, 25, a former 7th overall pick of the NBA draft, has posted averages of 7.4 points, 2.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists across five Turkish Airlines EuroLeague contests. His contract with the Lithuanian club was cut short by mutual agreement, as stated in Zalgiris’ announcement.
