Crvena Zvezda completed a big move, as it was first reported by Mozzart Sport. The Serbian club was looking for a boost in the backcourt for quite some time and they announced a deal until the end of the 2022-23 season with Serb guard Stefan Markovic.
Markovic has been a longtime target of Zvezda, however, he had never signed with the club until now and his experience can provide quality and experience to the team.
The 33-year-old player has been a member of Khimki and Unicaja during their EuroLeague seasons, while he has also played for Hemofarm, Benetton, Valencia, Banvit, Malaga, and Zenit. Most recently he played for Virtus Bologna.
With the addition of Markovic, Nikola Ivanovic is expected to get more minutes in the shooting guard position, creating an ever more versatile backcourt.
