Olimpia Milano is looking to acquire big man Ben Bentil, as reported first by Gazzetta dello Sport. Eurohoops sources confirm that the two sides are currently in advanced talks.
Bentil, 26, is currently under contract with Bahcesehir of the Turkish Super League, which he joined this offseason on a two-year deal.
However his contract includes a EuroLeague-out clause which can be used with Bahcesehir getting a fixed buy-out.
So far in the 2021-22 season, the Ghanaian center posts averages of 12 points and 4.4 rebounds in BSL and 14.8 points and 5.8 rebounds in the FIBA Europe Cup.
Bentil made his EuroLeague debut in the 2019-20 season with Panathinaikos OPAP Athens, with which he also lifted the Greek Basket League championship in 2020 and 2021. He has gained experience in Europe with Peristeri, Bilbao and Chalons-Reims, after short stints in the NBA G-League, Chinese League and the NBA with the Dallas Mavericks.
