Bayern Munich announced that the team signed veteran swingman KC Rivers. As Eurohoops reported, Rivers is signed to a four-month deal that includes an option for the rest of the 2021-22 season.
This will be Rivers’ second stint with Bayern after a short run he had with the German powerhouse in 2015. He arrives at the team as reinforcement in light of scorer Darrun Hilliard’s knee injury.
“After the blow of having to do without Darrun and his enormous contribution for a longer period, we decided to fill the gap,” Bayern Sports Director Daniele Baiesi said, per the club. “KC is a familiar face who allows us to make up for this loss thanks to his high-level career. He’ll be in a place he knows already.”
Rivers, a former EuroLeague champion with Real Madrid in 2015, last played in Russia with Zenit St. Petersburg. He averaged 6.1 points and 2.5 rebounds in EuroLeague.
