Panathinaikos OPAP Athens hosts competition leaders FC Barcelona on Thursday (20:00 CET) and head coach Dimitris Priftis appeared hopeful that Nemanja Nedovic will return to action for the game.
“Most likely he will be in the 12-man roster”, Priftis commented on Thursday. “We will see if he appears to be ready to help the team”.
Nedovic hurt his ankle during a Greek League contest against Lavrio on December 7, when he took a jump shot for three and landed on youngster Alexandros Nikolaidis’ foot. He has been sidelined since.
Panathinaikos looks to snap back from Tuesday’s defeat against Olimpia Milano in Round 15 and improve their 4-11 record in the standings.
Barcelona, on the other hand, hopes to continue their seven-game winning streak which has placed them on top of the race with a 13-2 record.
