FC Barcelona will not be able to count on Nigel Hayes for Thursday’s EuroLeague contest against Panathinaikos in Athens, since he tested positive upon the arrival to the Greek capital. As the team informed, the rest of the squad has turned in negative tests.
Yet another confirmed case is added to the list, following Pablo Laso and Thomas Heurtel of Real Madrid on Tuesday.
Per Barcelona’s announcement:
FC Barcelona announces that basketball player Nigel Hayes-Davis has tested positive for Covid-19 and will be unable to play against Panathinaikos in Athens in Thursday’s EuroLeague encounter. The player will remain in isolation in the Greek capital in accordance with established health protocols.
All of the other players in the traveling party have tested negative and shall be able to line up against Panathinaikos.
