Real Madrid guard Fabien Causeur has tested positive for COVID-19, the club confirmed Sunday. Causeur was added to the list of confirmed cases in the club that also includes head coach Pablo Laso and Thomas Heurtel, as announced on Tuesday.
In 16 EuroLeague contests this season, his fifth overall with Real, the French guard has been posting averages of 8.9 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists across 20 minutes. He is also averaging 5.5 points and 1.7 rebounds in 12 games played in the Spanish Liga Endesa.
Real Madrid is currently 12-3 in Euroleague at the second spot, right behind rivals Barcelona (13-2) while in the Spanish League, they top the standings with 12-1 and Barcelona follows with an 11-2 record.
