Real Madrid announced Tuesday (21/12) that forward Anthony Randolph, forward Guerschon Yabusele and guard Juan Nunez tested positive for coronavirus. The Spanish powerhouse now has six members who are down with COVID-19 since head coach Pablo Laso, guards Thomas Heurtel and Fabien Causeur plus center Vincent Poirier also got the virus over the last eight days.

This latest development leaves Real with six healthy players from the senior team ahead of the scheduled upcoming EuroLeague game against CSKA Moscow Thursday (23/11): Nigel Williams-Goss, Edy Tavares, Sergio Llull, Adam Hanga and Jeff Taylor, while Rudy Fernandez is out with injury. A postponement is the most likely scenario.

Real Madrid is the third EuroLeague team this week with several members testing positive for COVID-19 after Panathinaikos Athens (two members) and Olimpia Milano (six members). The latter had this round’s game vs. Zalgiris Kaunas getting postponed while the entire team is in home quarantine.
