Raduljica: “PAO is my home”

After his last season there, Miroslav Raduljica travelled back to China with Panathinaikos and shares his first feelings with the Greens.

Here is the first blog of the Serbian center in the Euroleague’s website:
“Hello Euroleague fans!

After a very emotional evening during the “Honouring our Legacy” event, which my club Panathinaikos organized, we are off on a very long trip! Destination: China!

First of all let me describe my feelings after my first experience as a Green. Panathinaikos’s fans are great; they make me feel like I am at home and I like that. I see the way the love their team and it is great to play for them and also for a European giant, like Panathinaikos, at the top level of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague.

It was great to see all these legends on the court – including some of my new teammates! – and also it was a very emotional moment to see Mr. Pavlos Giannakopoulos honored. There is no doubt that Panathinaikos is a legendary team with a long tradition and this is always motivation for all of us.

Now the excitement from the ceremony is in the rear-view mirror and we are ready for China. The Euroleague Basketball World Tour is a very interesting project and we are the ambassadors for the top basketball competition in Europe to the most populous country on our planet. This is very important and we see it as a big responsibility. Personally, I played in China last season for the Shandong Lions. My memories from that period are great. The people are friendly, they love basketball and I have to say that I had a really nice time during my time in China.

For sure we will play serious in both of our games in China because we are very close to starting our official games in the Greek League and also in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague. So we have to play hard and give our best in order to be ready for our official games.

I’ll keep this short, but don’t worry. I will be in touch again soon as I blog my way through our experience in China. See you soon!”
