Panathinaikos OPAP Athens has invested in 15-year-old Neoklis Avdalas long-term, as the two sides have penned a five-year deal, the Greek team announced Friday.

Avdalas made his professional debut with the Greens this past October in the Greek League, becoming the youngest player to be registered in the league, while he also became the youngest player to score in a EuroLeague game. Avdalas posted two points against ALBA Berlin in Round 14 in 1:47 minutes on the court.

“I feel excited that a team with the history and the standards of Panathinaikos trusted me and gave me the opportunity to sign my first professional contract”, said Avdalas. “My joy is very great, but I already feel a strong sense of responsibility because I have to work hard, win my place in the team and justify its people. I feel happy and at the same time very lucky to be at Panathinaikos and work with these coaches, teammates, and all the people on the team”.
