Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul got revenge over Real Madrid with a 66-51 win in their Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Round 18 make-up meeting on Tuesday night to even their regular-season series.

Fener forced Real to a historic low in the first half, as the visitors’ 17 points after the first 20 minutes marked their worst-ever performance in the EuroLeague. Real’s previous worst was 23 points in a game against Cibona in the 2004-05 season, while their lowest second-half performance has been 22 points twice (via Javier Gancedo).

Adding up to the significance of this win, Fener also managed to end a nine-game winning streak by the Spanish side to win its fifth straight game and improve to a 12-10 record in the standings. Back in October, Real had won their Round 5 meeting 70-69 in Madrid.

Marko Guduric and Melih Mahmutoglu led the way for the hosts, scoring 11 and 10 points respectively.

Dyshawn Pierre stepped up late to add 10 points and 7 rebounds and Jehyve Floyd followed with 9 points for Fener.

Walter Tavares led the way with 14 points and 8 rebounds for Real while Sergio Llull picked up 12 points and 4 rebounds, as the Spanish team has suffered just their fourth defeat of the season in EuroLeague (20-4).
