Euroleague shined the spotlight on James Gist in their latest ‘Focus on’ edition as LDLC ASVEL center talked about his career and the one dream he chases.
“If somebody asked me 13 years ago, would I still be playing, traveling to all the countries I traveled to, play for all the teams and coaches that I played for… I’d probably laugh and think it wasn’t possible,” Gist said. “Basketball has taken me all over the world. It’s given ma a chance to really experience different cultures, meet new people and establish some life long friendships.”
That’s all nice and well but Gist still has one wish, to win the Euroleague trophy.
“I wanna win something big. I want to win the Euroleague. I’ve been close, made it to the playoffs consecutive years and I really want that. Anything is possible, it’s a long season. There’s a lot of things we have to go through and grow as a team.”
