Olympiacos is looking to keep Frenchman Moustapha Fall with a new long-term deal

By Stavros Barbarousis / info@eurohoops.net

Moustapha Fall has evolved into one of Olympiacos‘ core pieces this season and the Greek club is looking to keep the French center on board with a long-term contract extension until the end of the 2024-2025 season.

As reported by gazzetta.gr, basketnews.com and confirmed by Eurohoops sources, the two sides are working towards a contract extension that will once again include an NBA buy-out for each year of the final agreement.

Eurohoops sources further report that Olympiacos has already initiated contact with Fall and his agent about a month ago, and the player is open to negotiations for a contract extension. Fall’s current contract will expire at the end of the 2022-23 season while there’s a buy-out option for either side. With their new proposal, the Greek club is aiming for continuity with a more binding contract.

There’s still no development after Olympiacos expressed their interest to the French big man, though there seems to be a consensus between the two sides towards signing a new deal.

Fall, 29, joined the team on June 2021, and across 23 EuroLeague games this season, he is posting averages of 8 points on 66.1% 2-point shooting, to go along with 4.9 rebounds, 1 block, and a PIR of 12.1.
