The long-awaited return of Shabazz Napier has finally come. Zenit Saint Petersburg announced that the player has been included in the team passport and is available to participate in the upcoming matches.
Napier played only in the VTB League SuperCup this season for Zenit. He had an outstanding debut against UNICS with 33 points but got injured in the clash against CSKA after only 30 seconds on the floor and was out since.
After six months of absence, Napier is finally ready to make his Euroleague debut. Zenit is set to play against Barcelona on Friday, February 25th, at home.
Zenit also announced that Arturas Gudaitis has recovered from an ankle injury and is practicing according to an individual program in order to move to the general group in the next few days.
Additionally, Mateusz Ponitka resumed the practice after a nose injury while Denis Zakharov is practicing with the main group. Conner Frankamp is still working on the recovery from an ankle injury.
