More and more players and coaches have been making the decision to leave Russia and their clubs since the start of the war in Ukraine. Iffe Lundberg has become one of them.
CSKA Moscow player announced via social media that he has returned to his native Denmark, putting the safety of his family in the first place.
“Hello everyone. Due to the current complex situation in which we find ourselves, today I have returned to my country, Denmark, to safeguard the safety of my family. Hoping everything returns to normal as soon as possible. Say no to war,” Lundberg wrote.

According to multiple reports, CSKA has also lost Marius Grigonis and Toko Shengelia while Zenit Saint Petersburg was left without Shabazz Napier, Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Arturas Gudaitis. Coach Kazys Maksvytis will also leave Parma.
