A few months after joining Olympiacos, Moustapha Fall has re-signed until the end of the 2024-25 season, the team announced Monday.
Fall, 30, has averaged 8.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.0 blocks, 0.9 assists, and 0.5 steals per contest over 24 appearances in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague so far in the 2021-22 Regular Season. A solid effort for the towering center helping the Reds win 15 out of the first 24 games and rank fourth overall approaching make-or-break time for a playoff berth.
At the domestic level, the Paris-born player has produced 8.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 0.4 steals per Stoiximan Basket League game. His side currently leads the Greek League standings at 13-1, half a game better than Panathinaikos OPAP’s 12-1. In addition, he was recently crowned Greek Cup champion with the team coached by Giorgos Bartzokas capturing first place in the Final Four held at Iraklio.
Before landing in Greece during the offseason, Fall had spent the 2020-21 season and most of his career playing in France. His last domestic team, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne had introduced him to the EuroLeague. His previous experience abroad featured Turk Telekom, Lokomotiv Kuban and Sakarya, from 2017 through 2019.
Moving forward, Olympiacos is scheduled to visit Bayern Friday in EuroLeague Regular Season Round 28 action. Currently on next week’s schedule, a Round 21 suspended home game opposite Zenit Saint Petersburg Tuesday and from there back to Germany to face ALBA Berlin a couple of days later.
