An always present and important topic when it comes to Euroleague is the financial aspect of the competition and the earnings of the clubs that participate.

With the 2021-22 Euroleague season coming to a close the financial numbers should be more or less clear and the Serbian outlet Mozzart Sport got the information, presenting it to the public.

However, it has to be noted that according to Eurohoops sources, for one more season the sporting bonuses for the clubs will be divided according to their final standings and not according to the number of the wins. This formula was first used due to the special situation created by COVID and the following scale is approved.

1-1.500.00
2-850.000
3-750.000
4-650.000
5-600.000
6-550.000
7-500.000
8-450.000
9-400.000
12-350.000
11-300.000
10-250.000
13-200.000
14-150.000

With the three Russian clubs out of the competition, Zalgiris Kaunas which finished last in the 15th position is the only team that will not get a performance bonus.

And of course, the teams which will make it to the Final Four get a bigger bonus which starts at 1,5M euros for the champion, drops to 850,000 euros for the finalist, 750,000 for the third position, and 650,000 for the fourth.

That means that already five clubs, Maccabi T.A., Olympiacos, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Panathinaikos have revenues of around 3M euros and with the exception of the Greens, the other four can get even more depending on the final standings.
