The two-time NBA champion Kevin Durant has traveled to Monaco and he will be present in the stands for Game 4 between AS Monaco Basket and Olympiacos, according to L’Equipe.
Durant was called by his former teammate and current Monaco player Mike James. The two played together last season with the Brooklyn Nets reaching the Conference semis and, per various reports, Durant was the one pushing to sign him during James’s dispute with CSKA.
This year, Brooklyn got eliminated in the first round by the Boston Celtics with a sweep. Meanwhile, James and Monaco are down 2-1 in the best-of-five series and have to win if they want to stay alive and have a chance for an upset in Game 5.
James scored 10, 23 and 13 points respectively in the first three games of the series while also showing solid presence on the boards and dishing a total of 15 assists.
