EuroLeague Basketball fined Olympiacos Piraeus €53,001 while sanctioning the Greek side to play one game without fans due to the incidents (flares, firecrackers, fans entering the court before the match ended) that took place in Game 5 vs. AS Monaco.
Per EuroLeague:
Euroleague Basketball has announced the following disciplinary sanction pertaining to incidents that occurred in Game 5 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague playoffs.
- OLYMPIACOS PIRAEUS has been sanctioned with a game to be played behind closed doors and fines totaling the amount of €53,001 for incidents generated by the public that seriously disturbed the course of the game, the failure to adopt all necessary preventive measures, the use of laser pointers, and the invasion of the court area on the occasion of its home game against AS MONACO under Article 29.1.g), 29.1.h), 29.2.f) and 29.2.i) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code, respectively
