Dejan Bodiroga was in Stark Arena during the EuroLeague semifinals and he might be here for the long term.
As Mozzarsport reported, “among the clubs-owners of the EuroLeague, there’s the idea that the celebrated Serbian basketball player may take one of the leading roles in the competition”.
According to Eurohoops sources, Bodiroga’s name has been discussed and may be considered a sign of changes in the governing structure of the EuroLeague in the post-Bertomeu era.
Bodiroga is a respected figure all around Europe, he has local connections in the most important European basketball countries plus as a former vice-president of the Serbian basketball federation, he has excellent relationships with FIBA.
That doesn’t mean that Bodiroga is a CEO candidate, but that he together with other basketball personalities can project first and foremost a new image for the EuroLeague.
