BELGRADE – Real Madrid managed to come from behind against Barça and to qualify for a new Euroleague final. Pablo Laso’s team went into the half time break down by 11 points, reaching 13 at the start of the third period. However, his players remained calm thanks to the words of their coach in the locker room:
“We had to follow the game plan that we had made,” Edy Tavares told Eurohoops, talking about what changed before the third quarter. “I think that helped us. I wasn’t worried either, Pablo gave us a lot of confidence because he thought we were sticking to the game plan well. He gave us confidence to start the third quarter well.”
Madrid will now play for its 11th Euroleague title in the final in Belgrade next Saturday against Anadolu Efes.
