Anadolu Efes won back-to-back Euroleague titles and that means the interest in, and the price of, its roster has gone up greatly. While the Turkish team managed to keep the core of the roster the same after the first title, this time around, that is going to be a much harder task.
It remains to be seen if Efes will decide to get back the budget, keep it the same or increase it. Especially keeping in mind that the Euroleague Final Four will most likely be held in Istanbul next year with the Turkish Republic celebrating a century of existence.
Eurohoops already reported that Shane Larkin is in extension talks with the club, and they are likely to reach an agreement, but the combo guard will got huge interest from other European teams and perhaps even the NBA after a stellar season.
Meanwhile, the Alphonso Ford and Final Four MVP winner, Vasilije Micic, is expected to leave for the NBA and Efes has already started to consider alternatives to replace him.
One of those names has been Tomas Satoransky, according to Eurohoops’ Bugra Uzar. However, Efes isn’t the only team looking to bring Satorasnky back to Europe with Barcelona also in the mix.
Satoransky played 55 games this past season in the NBA with three teams – theSan Antonio Spurs, the New Orleans Pelicans, and the Washington Wizards. He averaged 4.9 points and 4.9 assists in 19 minutes with the latter over 22 appearances.
