Veteran forward Amath M’Baye has a deal with Anadolu Efes for a 1+1 contract per Turkish journalist Ugur Ozan Sulak. The 32-years-old player has been a resident of Turkey since 2019 when he signed for Karsiyaka.
M’Baye started his professional career in Japan with the Mitsubishi Diamond Dolphins for three seasons, from 2013 to 2016. During these three years, he averaged 20.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists.
In 2016, the French player signed a contract with the Italian club Brindisi, in 2017 he moved to Milan, and in 2018 to Bologna with Virtus. After three years in Italy, he signed with Karsiyaka, staying there for three seasons.
In 26 games this season in the BSL, he averaged 15.1 ppg, 4.5 rpg, and 1.9 asp. M’Baye may be replacing in Efes‘ roster fellow french forward Adrien Moerman who is expected to leave the back-to-back EuroLeague champions.
