Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul has signed head coach Dimitris Itoudis to a three-year deal, the club officially announced Sunday confirming Eurohoops’ prior reports.
A few weeks prior, Itoudis announced his CSKA Moscow exit after eight years, and he’s set to return to the EuroLeague with Fenerbahce.
Itoudis recently took over the Greek national team head coach position and will begin his duties in the upcoming 2022 EuroBasket tournament in September. He has won twice the EuroLeague with CSKA Moscow, establishing himself as one of the top coaches in Europe.
The 52-year-old playcaller started his professional career in 1997 and in 1999 he moved to Panathinaikos. He served as an assistant to Zeljko Obradovic between 1999 and 2012 before moving to Turkey and Banvit for the 2013-14 season.
