Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul announced Monday they have signed big man Samet Geyik to a one-year deal. Geyik is the second signing of the day for Fenerbahce, after also penning big man Johnathan Motley to a deal.
Geyik, 29, spent the previous season with Turk Telekom Ankara and averaged 6.9 points and 4.5 rebounds in the 7DAYS EuroCup last season. He also produced 7.7 points and 4.0 rebounds in the Turkish League.
The Turkish big is set to make his EuroLeague debut with Fenerbahce. Although he was part of Anadolu Efes’ 2016-17 squad, he only competed in the domestic league.
Geyik has accumulated plenty of experience in Turkey, playing for Bornova Belediye, Tofas Bursa, Pinar Karsiyaka, and Besiktas Istanbul, as well as for the Turkish national team.
