Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv announced Wednesday that they have signed forward Bonzie Colson to a two-year deal.
Colson’s addition to the Israeli club comes shortly after Maccabi announced the acquirement of Alex Poythress and head coach Oded Kattash.
26-year-old Colson spent the 2021-22 season with Karsiyaka and posted an average of 15 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists across 9 Basketball Champions League contests. He made his breakthrough in the competition in 2020-21 with Strasbourg, when he averaged 18.2 points to win the BCL MVP and Top Scorer awards and the French League MVP honor.
Colson landed in Europe with Darussafaka in 2019-20 after a stint with the Milwaukee Bucks. He is now set to make his Turkish Airlines and Winner League debut with Maccabi.
