The defeat of Maccabi Tel Aviv at Moscow by 31 points (100-69) in the Euroleague opener is not only a testament to CSKA‘s strengh, but also a negative record for the Israelis.
This is the worst opening night of Maccabi in Euroleague. The previous negative record was registered back in the 1998-99 season in Tel Aviv, when Maccabi was defeated by 22 points (84-62) from Panathinaikos.
Worst defeat ever for @MaccabitlvBC in a season opener. Well done by @CSKABasketball
