Baskonia is going through some changes this summer and the club has been considering Hugo Besson for the point guard position, according to El Correo Alava.
Besson, 21, was picked up by the Indiana Pacers in the recent 2022 NBA Draft but his rights were traded to the Milwaukee Bucks immediately. He played for Elan Chalon, Saint-Quentin BB, and the New Zealand Breakers.
With Saint-Quentin in the 2020-21 season, he led the French Second Division in scoring with 19.5 on average and was among the MVP candidates. He was named an All-Star, the Best Scorer, and the Best Youngster that year.
Baskonia is in search of a point guard, especially considering the tempting offer by Maccabi Tel Aviv to Wade Baldwin who seems to be closer to leaving the Spanish team.
