Nikola Kalinic has been patient in his decision about where to play next season and a lot of it is riding on whether Dejan Radonjic will stay the head coach of Crvena Zvezda.
While Radonjic is in Athens for talks with Panathinaikos and is expected to make his final decision on June 30, Kalinic decided to opt out of his contract with Zvezda, according to Mozzart Sport.
The report also noted that this decision by Kalinic doesn’t completely shut the door on staying with Crvena Zvezda but he did it to have more freedom in making his decision while awaiting the development around Radonjic.
As Eurohoops reported, Barcelona has been interested in Kalinic but there might be some implications financially.
