FC Bayern Munich has extended big man Othello Hunter through the end of the 2022-23 season, the German club officially announced Monday.
Hunter, 36, landed in Bayern in the summer of 2021 for his first experience in Germany and helped his team reach the domestic league finals with an average of 8.0 points per game. In the EuroLeague, the experienced big posted 7.7 points and 5 rebounds across 35 games, as Bayern reached the quarterfinals and forced Game 5 in the series against Barcelona.
“I’m grateful to continue to be a part of this family,” Hunter said. “Because for me everything felt like a big family from the very beginning, from the bottom up to the top of the club management. I don’t want to be anywhere else next season and can’t wait for the journey to start again. The mission in Munich is not over yet.”
Bayern further announced Monday the addition of Croatian big Danko Brankovic from Cibona.
