Tyler Dorsey has turned down Olympiacos‘ extension offer, as well as Fenerbahce‘s offer, in order to return to the NBA, according to Eurohoops sources.
The Greek/American guard recently traveled to the United States and had a private workout for the Dallas Mavericks, and the team is likely to make him an offer. It’s still unclear if he will ultimately sign a deal with the Mavericks, though Dorsey’s main goal is an NBA return.
Dorsey, 26, last played in the NBA during the 2018-19 season. Appearing in 104 games, all in the Regular Season, he averaged 6.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.3 steals, and 0.1 blocks per contest between the Atlanta Hawks and Memphis Grizzlies. After concluding his NCAA career with the Ducks, he was selected by the Hawks with the 41st pick of the 2017 NBA draft.
Dorsey finished the 2021-22 season with Olympiacos and lifted both the Greek League title and the Greek Cup. He posted averages of 12.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.1 blocks across 38 EuroLeague contests and tapped 10.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.2 blocks per game in the Greek Basket League
