Panathinaikos is doing everything in their power to convince Nick Calathes to sign with them, presenting him with a three-year offer.
Initially Panathinaikos has offered a two-year contract for 2,7M euros and now they are adding an extra year with a similar annual salary.
Calathes will get security until his 36 years of age and this is a contract that may end up being his last before retiring.
It might be a homecoming for him and a happy end for both Calathes and Panathinaikos who parted ways two years ago.
Of course for all this to happen, Calathes must first get s settlement with Barcelona and leave the club. For the moment there’s a contract until 2023 still valid between the two sides, but a mutual divorce is more than expected.
