Real Madrid has signed Rudy Fernandez to a contract extension valid until June 30, 2023. The veteran Spanish guard/forward enters his second decade with the club that which spreads across two stints, 2011 and 2021 until today.
Fernandez, 37, has helped Real celebrate two EuroLeague championships in 2015 and 2018, six Spanish Liga Endesa titles (2013, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2022), as well as seven Spanish Supercups (2012-2014, 2018-2021).
He has been named into the All-EuroLeague First Team twice in 2013 and 2014 and won the EuroLeague Rising Star honor in 2007 while he was competing with Joventut.
This past season, Fernandez averaged 6.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 15.6 minutes across 20 ACB games and posted 6.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 34 games played in his 12th EuroLeague campaign.
