LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne announced Wednesday the addition of Swiss forward Anthony Polite to a two-year deal.
Polite, 25, will gain his first European experience with the French club after last playing for Florida State, with averages of 9.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 24 games during the 2021-22 season.
“It’s a gamble we believe in. Anthony has a lot to prove, and he wants to demonstrate his abilities at the highest level. He will make up for his lack of experience in the European game with his energy, his commitment, and his determination. And we are convinced that he will be the perfect complement to David Lighty,” said Michel Veyronnet, sporting director of ASVEL.
