AS Monaco officially announced the addition of Elie Okobo on a two-year deal Friday, confirming Eurohoops’ prior reports.
“Monaco is a very competitive team, we have seen it in the Euroleague with their very good presence,” said Okobo as per asmonaco.basketball. “I was able to get a taste of this competition. The Final Four is something I want. And I know that this team has the capabilities”.
Okobo, 24, returned to Europe with ASVEL in 2021-22 and helped the team celebrate the 2022 domestic league title. He averaged 13.2 points, 3.8 assists, and 3.2 rebounds across 26 French League games, while he had 14.5 points, 3.9 assists and 2.8 rebounds in the 2021-22 EuroLeague campaign across 27 games.
