Panathinaikos would like to make a splash in the market, however, with Eric Paschall not eager to sign in Europe, the options of the club are limited at best.
And while the Greeks are aiming for a big aim from the NBA, they are no longer ruling out players with European experience. Their former player DeShaun Thomas can be an option, but so far there are no talks between the two sides.
Per Eurohoops sources and despite reports about negotiations with the player, Thomas has been offered to Panathinaikos but nothing more has happened. At this point there are no real talks about the player and no contract offer from the Greek club. The same applies also for Virtus Bologna, which is presented also to be interested on the player.
The experienced forward was released by Bayern, after a good season (9.6 points, 3.2 rebounds with 40% on three-pointers), while in the two years he played with Panathinaikos had a positive presence, with his second season being the best with 13.9 points and 4.4 rebounds per match in the Euroleague.
