In a move that completes their roster, Olympiacos signed veteran big man Tarik Black.
The 31-years old center is the seventh non-Greek player addition for Olympiacos, while only six are permitted in the Greek league. On the contrary, there’s not any such limit in the EuroLeague.
The former Laker moved to Europe in the summer of 2018, playing for two seasons with Maccabi Tel Aviv, then for Zenit, and last year in Bahcesehir Koleji.
In his tenure with Bahcesehir, he averaged 5,9 points and 2,4 rebounds per game in the Turkish BSL, and also 7,8 ppg and 4 rpg in the FIBA Europe Cup.
He gets the spot and the role that initially Olympiacos wanted to give to Kostas Antetokounmpo. A deal between the Greek club and Giannis’ brother couldn’t be completed.
