Following the announcement of Euroleague Basketball regarding the new president and CEO, EHCB welcomed Dejan Bodiroga and Marshall Glickman.
The former player was named president of Euroleague Basketball and will also take on the role of director. The long-time advisor to Euroleague Basketball, Glickman checked in as the acting CEO.
Apart from welcoming the new faces and expressing intentions to continue working toward the evolution of the sport, the EuroLeague Head Coaches Board also thanked the former president and CEO Jordi Bertomeu on Thursday.
Per the press release: “The EHCB welcomes new EuroLeague president Dejan Bodiroga and acting CEO Marshall Glickman.
As the EuroLeague Head Coaches Board, we believe that the new league management is qualified and eager to work for the improvement of the competition on every level, first and foremost on the court.
We extend our wish to continue our close collaboration and provide the voice of coaches in the decision-making process on matters that are crucial for the constant evolution of the sport for the sake of the clubs, the players, and first and foremost the fans.
We also take this opportunity to thank former president and CEO Jordi Bertomeu for his contribution to European basketball.
From the moment that EuroLeague was first instituted until this summer, Jordi Bertomeu was at the forefront of this evolution that changed European club competitions for the better and created a solid foundation for the future.”
Representing the head coaches of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, the EHCB was officially founded in 2019.
