From Olympiacos to FC Bayern Munich and Bitci Baskonia. On the path to a fourth season in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Wade Baldwin IV is preparing for difficult challenges with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv.
“It’s going to be one of the most competitive EuroLeague seasons,” he shared his view on the 2022-23 EuroLeague season with Eurohoops, “You look around the league, incredible guards on every team. Every team is pretty loaded. They have depth.”
Participating in the 4th Pavlos Giannakopoulos tournament, Maccabi’s training camp has relocated to Greece. The loss to EAT Emporio Armani Milano opened the schedule of the two-day friendly tournament.
“I most poorly performed with Olympiacos”
Baldwin, 26, opted to move his talents to Europe in 2019. He then signed with Olympiacos.
“Not so good ones with Olympiacos,” he honestly replied to a question about the Reds, “Out of the three seasons I have done out here, I most poorly performed with Olympiacos. My memories here, basketball-wise, are pretty bad. I have had two good years after it.”
Following test games, the team coached by Oded Kattash will end up hosting Zalgiris to start the new EuroLeague season on 6 October.
