Behind 30 points by Nenad Dimitrijevic and 19 by Jalen Reynolds, UNICS Kazan got third place in the VTB Supercup by beating Zeljko Obradovic‘s Partizan 83-77.
The Serbs entered the last minute trailing by two (79-77) after a made three by Ioannis Papapetrou who finished the game with 12 points. Dimitrijevic answered with a two (81-77) and James Nunnally who had in total 10 points missed the next three, as UNICS secured the win.
Uros Trifunovic added 12 points for Partizan and Kevin Punter scored 11.
Earlier in the day, Lokomotiv Kuban edged Mega Bemax by two points (95-93) with Jaylen Barford scoring 21 points for the winning side and NBA prospect Malcolm Cazalon stealing the show with 29 points for Mega.
In the final, Zenit St. Petersburg beat CSKA Moscow by one point (71-70) thanks to a big three by Thomas Wimbush.
