Monaco and its new president, Alexey Fedorychev, are becoming an instrumental part of the EuroLeague ecosystem with the FEDCOM GROUP, owned also by Alexey Fedorychev, acquiring the media rights of the EuroLeague competitions.

Per the press release: Euroleague Basketball has awarded FEDCOM GROUP the exclusive broadcasting rights, both for live and on-demand streaming in France and Monaco, and non-exclusive broadcasting rights in DOM-TOM-CROM* territories, for Europe’s premier men’s basketball competitions for the next four seasons. FEDCOM GROUP is a market leader in the international grain and fertilizer business. FEDCOM’s acquisition of these rights follows its sponsorship of Euroleague Basketball and its long history of involvement in football as a Main Partner and now Legacy Partner of AS Monaco Football Club.

FEDCOM GROUP enters the highest level of the sports streaming industry with the launch of SKWEEK, a streaming service that was developed together with Endeavor Streaming, a global leader in premium video distribution and monetization for live and on-demand content across sports, entertainment, media and lifestyle.

“We are delighted to bring basketball fans in France and Monaco new and compelling coverage of Europe’s elite competitions, with all games commentated on in French by an exciting lineup of presenters and expert analysts,” said Oleg Petrov, FEDCOM GROUP.

Additionally, one game per round in both the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and 7DAYS EuroCup, including some games of the local teams, will be shown to all fans in the region on a free-to-access basis. Those games can be viewed by fans on connected devices, making the sport even more accessible than ever before.

French and Monégasque fans will be able to watch the best pan-European basketball competitions anytime and anywhere, including on smartphones, tablets, Smart TVs, PCs and laptops. SKWEEK does not require any long-term contract and instead offers its service for an affordable fee of €7.99 per month (including a seven-day free trial) or €69.99 for an annual pass (discounted to €49.99 for a short period around the launch).

“I am really thrilled about this partnership between FEDCOM GROUP and Euroleague Basketball that will bring our premium basketball to SKWEEK,” Marshall Glickman, Euroleague Basketball CEO, said. “Starting now, SKWEEK will become a fundamental partner to broaden horizons and support our strategy to enlarge new audiences in one of Euroleague Basketball´s biggest markets.”

France is one of the most important strategic markets for Euroleague Basketball, having experienced a 43% fan base growth between 2018-2019 and 2021-22. France and Monaco will be represented in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague during the 2022-23 season by reigning French champion LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and 2021 7DAYS EuroCup champion AS Monaco. The 7DAYS EuroCup will also have plenty of French flavor this season with both Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse and Paris Basketball representing the country.
