The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season is almost here, and all the 18 teams that will participate in the biggest European competition are preparing for it. Among them, there’s Bayern Munich, which had its season-opening press conference with Andrea Trinchieri, Vladimir Lucic, and GM DDaniele Baiesi talking about what’s next for the German team.

One of the key points of the press conference was Paul Zipser’s health status.

“He’s a different player from last year. Last year was a recovery year and, I knock on wood, there are still some small things missing but we are in the last stage of his comeback”, Bayern’s head coach said about the German player.

Bayern didn’t have Nick Weiler-Babb and Andreas Obst from the beginning of the pre-season, because they were involved in EuroBasket 2022 with Germany.

“I love difficult pre-season. If the pre-season is easy, I make it difficult. Otherwise, you never know the true substance of your team”, Trinchieri said. “I think this is a team people should come to watch, we have intriguing, fun players”, he added.

Vladimir Lucic expressed the satisfaction of being present during Bayern Munich’s growing process. “It’s an honor. At a point when Bayern Basketball gets bigger and bigger, I get to say I was the captain during that time”, the Serbian forward said.
