Maccabi Tel Aviv is aiming for a boost in their already admirable backcourt and Argentinian Luca Vildoza is already in talks with them, as Israeli journalist Moshe Barda tweeted and Eurohoops can also confirm.
Vildoza still is part of the Milwaukee Bucks, but the scenario of him leaving the States for Europe is more than probable since he wants to have a solid role in any team he is part of.
Maccabi on the other hand is in the market for one more player, which is unclear yet if he an extra addition, or will replace anyone from the current roster.
Per Barda, Maccabi’s shortlist also includes sharpshooter Matt Thomas who left Europe after the summer of 2019 and since then he is playing in the NBA, having limited minutes both in the Toronto Raptors and the Chicago Bulls.
Contrary to Vildoza, Thomas is currently a free agent.
Meanwhile, Maccabi without injured Darun Hilliard got the easy 94-68 win over Ironi Kiryat Ata for the Israeli league and started the season with a 2-0 record.
