Shannon Evans has been huge for Real Betis since he landed in Andalucia in 2021, and now Real Madrid wants to acquire him to reinforce Chus Mateo’s guard package.
Per Mate Al Aro, the 28-year-old American playmaker is close to an agreement with the reigning ACB League champions. Real Madrid reportedly offered a two-year contract to the player, with 1.2 million euros for each season.
Shannon Evans never played in the EuroLeague and he was decisive in order to keep Real Betis away from relegation in 2021-22, averaging 17.4 points, 3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists last season in Spain. He started this current season on a high note, being voted MVP of the ACB League Round 3.
