Just hours after the report about Shannon Evans moving to Real Madrid, the player himself denied knowledge of this scenario after the 83-77 defeat of his team to Fuenlabrada.
“I have no idea. I saw a tweet today before the game against Fuenlabrada but I haven’t had a chance to talk to my agent. Right now I’m focused on playing with Betis. I have no news, nothing. I haven’t talked to my agent yet and I’m not sure what’s happening,” he told the Spanish news agency EFE.
“I’m not sure right now. We suffered a tough loss against Fuenlabrada and I’m focused on that. I’ll talk to my agent and my family and if it’s true, we’ll see. I’m not sure yet,” he added,
The same question was posed to Real Betis coach Luis Casimiro and made his furious: “Seriously, that is the only thing you have to ask me about the game? I have no idea, I don’t know. I’m in the game. Anything that comes out on any Twitter account is already news. I have no idea, I don’t know.”
“His agent says no. If we are going to give credit to anyone who says something, it seems to me… I don’t know. But come on, let’s wait. He has played very well”, Casimiro added to the media at the post-game press conference.
