Leading AS Monaco to a 4-1 record in October, Mike James has been named EuroLeague MVP of the Month.
The American superstar is currently averaging 21.4 points on 62.8% two-point shooting and 80.6% from the free-throw line per game. He also got 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 1.8 steals, and 5.6 fouls drawn per appearance during his first five games of the season.
In this five-game stretch, Mike James never scored less than 15 points, as he erupted against Virtus Bologna away, in the 95-92 OT win against reigning champions Anadolu Efes, and in the first defeat of the season against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
He shared the MVP of Round 4 after having 27 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 12 fouls drawn in the 83-80 against his former team Panathinaikos in OAKA.
In the following game, he was crucial in Monaco’s 81-76 victory on the road against undefeated Olympiacos, with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals.
It’s the second time Mike James received this award as a Monaco player, as he was named MVP of the Month in March 2022. He also won it in February 2019 with EA7 Emporio Armani Milan and in November 2021 with CSKA Moscow.
