Partizan Belgrade coach Zeljko Obradovic left the room open for a potential acquisition after center Balsa Koprivica and Dante Exum were added to the team’s injury list.
“We’ll sit down and see. Considering the rhythm of the games and everything that is ahead of us, it’s certain that the pool of players we have at our disposal at the moment is insufficient,” Obradovic said. “We’ll see what our possibilities are. We’ll not bring anyone hastily, we’ll have to think and see what’s best for the team at this moment.”
Koprivica broke his hand during the away win of Partizan over Panathinaikos Athens. He’ll undergo surgery that is expected to sideline him for two months, as Obradovic revealed. Guard Dante Exum suffered an ankle injury and will miss “multiple games” per the club.
Partizan was already missing guard Aleksa Avramovic (hand) and forward Alen Smailagic (back) and has now only three Serbian players available: Tristan Vukcevic, Danilo Andjusic, and Uros Trifunovic. The latter two will leave the club during the next week to join the Serbian national team for two important games vs. Great Britain and Turkey for the 2023 World Cup Qualifiers.
On Thursday (10/11), Partizan will face Olympiacos Piraeus.
