Walk in a park for Real Madrid against Alba Berlin. They won in a dominant fashion in Round 8 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, grabbing a 90-72 victory against the German champions.

Sergio Rodriguez followed closely with a near-double-double of 13 points, and nine assists, while Dzanan Musa added 10 points for the winning side.
For Alba, who conceded for the fifth straight time after opening the season with three victories, Gabriele Procida scored 13 points, while Yanni Wetzell and Johannes Thiemann added 10 points each.
“They dominated in all aspects. We need to improve, and recover players. We need to be all together, keep on believing in what we do, and remember that we were not as good as when we won three matches, and we are not as bad now“, Israel Gonzalez commented after the game.
Chus Mateo’s team took control in the second period, and never looked back. Real had 16 point lead after 20 minutes, but kept adding to their advantage, and took the third win in a row, improving the score to 5-3.
“We knew they are dangerous in the counterattack, a team which runs, and plays a little at the three-point line, and we were able to attack properly. I believe we started quite well, they reacted and came back, but we had a good advantage at the break, we understood that the match was not over, and we were able to do even better after the break. We were doing quite well at the defense, blocking their shots. It was a good match, and I’m happy that some of the players who were not finding the game started finding it“, Real Madrid head coach Chus Mateo stated at the press conference after the big win.
EuroLeague double week is coming up next, and Real Madrid will try to add more victories against Valencia Basket at La Fonteta, and Partizan Mozzart Bet at WiZink center. Alba Berlin will try to turn the tables against Crvena Zvezda at home and Olympiacos Piraeus on the road.
