FC Barcelona proceeded to cancel and return more than 250 tickets purchased by supporters of Partizan Mozzart Bet for the Round 9 match of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague that takes place tonight, at 8:45 p.m. CET, at the Palau Blaugrana.
The Catalan club detected a security problem and proceeded to return the full amount of the tickets to all Partizan fans who had purchased a seat in the local fans’ space, as per the official report.
“Barca, in compliance with the sports law, cannot and does not want to put its members, subscribers, and fans at risk. That is why the Club will reinforce the number of security personnel for tonight’s game“, the official report states.
The president of Partizan Ostoja Mijailovic officially addressed Barca’s president Joan Laporta with a request for a solution, as the Belgrade club reported.
Barcelona will place Partizan’s fans who bought tickets for the visiting area in the upper central part of the Palau Blaugrana, which is reserved for the fans of the rival teams.
“If visiting fans are detected in unauthorized areas before and during the match, the Club’s security will relocate them to the visiting supporters’ area“, the Catalan club clarifies, and adds that has been in constant contact with Partizan, which they thank for its willingness to accept and understand the situation.
As Partizan then announced, Barcelona and president Joan Laporta stayed firm in the decision to return the tickets to the fans who bought the ones for the local fans’ area.
“We believe this decision is unfair to our fans who bought the tickets without any trouble and paid for their trip an accommodation in Barcelona“.
