36-year-old Valencia Basket legend Sam Van Rossom is expected to be out for a long period of time due to a right knee injury.
After missing the game against Zalgiris Kaunas, the Belgian playmaker, as reported by a club’s statement, will undergo surgery in the upcoming days and “Valencia Basket will update Van Rossom’s physical condition once he has undergone surgery”.
Van Rossom has been playing with the Spanish team since 2013 and he has won 2 EuroCup and 1 ACB League.
In this year’s EuroLeague, he’s averaging 8.7 points and 2.2 assists per game, while shooting 56% from downtown. He recently had 17 points in the loss against Real Madrid.
